Professor Kaddoum has an electrical engineering degree from ENSTA-Bretagne (a leading engineering school in France). In 2005, he earned a Master degree in telecommunications and signal processing from Université de Bretagne occidentale and Telecom Bretagne.

In December 2008, he was awarded a Ph.D. in signal processing and telecommunications with first-class honours and special commendation from the jury at Institut national des Sciences appliquées in Toulouse, France.

He began his career at ÉTS in 2010 as a post-doctoral Fellow with the NSERC Ultra Electronics TCS Chair. Since 2011, he has been a member of the ÉTS research team.

Professor Kaddoum has authored more 50 scientific publications and has 2 patents pending.

He has also worked as a science consultant for 2 companies specializing in space communications: Intelcan Technosystems and MDA.
