Role of the ÉTS co-op student placement Coordinator

In order to coordinate the approximately 3,000 plus work-terms every year, ÉTS employs a dedicated team of professional Coordinators who serve as your liaison with ÉTS and work to ensure that co-op students receive proper support and guidance. The Coordinator's goal is to ensure a beneficial experience for both the co-op students and their employers; to verify that all the requirements of both parties are met.

Each Regional Coordinator is responsible for a specific territory, and is keenly aware of the reality facing regional employers' requirements. The regional coordinator’s responsibilities includes the following:

  • Meeting with employers in order to identify specific requirements in terms of training, growth and technology transfer.
  • Managing the placement process, including online postings, forwarding resumes and scheduling interviews.
  • Preparing students for their work as co-op employees and for their careers as engineers of tomorrow.
  • Ensuring that each co-op experiences a smooth integration into the workplace, and that the employer’s expectations are satisfied.
