Just-in-Time Placement Process

Wednesday to Sunday
  • Co-op placement offers are posted on the on-line posting system on Mondays and Wednesdays, from mid-term until the beginning of the following term. Students select the positions that they wish to interview for.
  • The students’ resumes are e-mailed to the employers after each posting period (Mondays and Thursdays).

  • The employer selects the candidates to interview and sends this information to the Cooperative Education Department, along with a proposed interview schedule (date, time, length, breaks).
  • The Co-operative Education Department confirms the interview schedule and informs the students. The employer must not contact the students directly.
  • Interviews are conducted at ÉTS or at the employer’s premises.

  Interview Results
  • The employer informs the Cooperative Education Department of the candidate they have selected as quickly as possible. Just-in-Time placement works on a first-come, first-served basis.
Student Selection
  • Students who are selected for a work-term are removed from the selection process, even if they have other work-term applications or interviews pending.
